چکیده
Abstract In cross-laminated timber (CLT) buildings, in order to reduce the disturbing transmission of sound over flanking parts, special insulation layers are used between CLT walls and slabs, together with insulated angle-bracket connections. However, influence such connections on seismic resistance structures has not yet been studied. this paper, experimental investigation panels installed bedding fastened floor using an innovative, insulated, steel angle bracket, presented. The novelty investigated connection is, addition insulation, its both shear as well uplift forces it is intended be instead traditional brackets hold-down simplify construction. Therefore, monotonic cyclic tests wall-to-floor were performed tensile/compressive load direction. Specimens without under bracket studied compared. Tests specimens have proved that a marginal load-bearing capacity; however, significantly influences stiffness characteristics. general, experiments shown could also for resistant structures, although some minor improvements should made.

Load-carrying behaviour of steel-to-timber dowel connections
This paper details tests on steel-wood-steel connections with thin dowels carried out at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Connections configurations were selected in such a way that the influence of the main parameters such as dowel slenderness ratio, dowel strength, fastener spacing and end distance and the number of dowels could be studied. An important issue of the pa...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of Cyclic Behavior of Beam-To-Column Bolted Connections in Steel Frames
This article considers the seismic behavior of beam-to-column joints in steel frames for different bolt arrangements by using of finite element modeling. As the most important beam-to-column joint type, the beam-to-column joints with end-plate is chosen for the analysis. Four different specimens have been analyzed. These models had some differences such as bolt arrangement and the presence or a...
متن کاملCyclic Behavior of Cold-Formed Steel Stud-to-Sheathing Connections
This series of experiments aims to characterize the cyclic behavior of cold-formed steel (CFS) stud-to-sheathing connections. This connection provides the key energy dissipating behavior in wood sheathed CFS shear walls, and provides bracing to the studs under gravity and out-of-plane loads. A simple testing rig is developed consisting of two CFS lipped channels facing toe-to-toe connected on t...
متن کاملCyclic response of multiple bolted connections
Because of it’s economy, high strength-to-weight ratio and stiffness-to-weight ratio, wood can compete with steel and reinforced concrete as a construction material in a market with an increasing demand for large structures such as community buildings, gymnasiums, schools and bridges. However, continued acceptance or expansion in this market, particularly in high wind or seismic areas, depends ...
