Current Sensor-Less Virtual Synchronous Generator Model Predictive Control Based on Sliding Mode Observer

In recent years, virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control algorithm has been widely studied in distributed grid-connected power inverters to deal with active and reactive adjustment by simulating the operation principle of actual generator. Nevertheless, once current sensor fails, inverter will lose its stability. To enhance fault-tolerant ability inverter, a new side sensor-less model predictive method based on sliding mode observer (SMO) is proposed. The stability SMO analyzed using Lyapunov criterion. gains are then designed analyzing their influences voltage observation closed-loop transfer functions. Besides, show capacitance changes observation, detailed parameter sensitivity analysis also carried out. Then, estimated inductance from SMO, finally main novelty proposed that both output not required SMO. So, accuracy improved. verify effectiveness method, experimental studies out Typhoon PE-Expert 4 platform.
