Current aspects of radiobiology in modern radiotherapy - our clinical experience

Personalized radiation treatment is an important goal in oncology. As a result, one of the main challenges radiobiology today predicting patient?s tissue radiosensitivity so that personalized can be tailored to individual. For first time since 2016, group from Institute Oncology and Radiology Serbia has begun performing translational research field radiobiology. The aim these studies identify molecular markers for prediction as well occurrence toxic effects radiotherapy. In past five years, significant international cooperation been established with Radiogenomic Consortium, leading European world experts this field. addition, during period, several promising results were published, Laboratory Radiobiology was at Serbia.
