Current and Future Trends of Construction Project Performance Models: A Review

The construction industry (CI) has experienced outstanding growth and contributed to economic for many countries, with enormous foreign investments that require quality projects. High pressure reduce the cost time commonly put at risk of lower safety facilities. Like other developing Tanzania needs more stringent control measures in sector contribute positively sustainable growth. This study thus reviews current future trends performance Tanzania. literature review on projects (CPs) is based information overruns from contractors, clients, consultants Tanzanian CIs. Initially, 300 literatures were reviewed manually screened about 50 literatures. Results showed 56% indicate need CPs. Further, it was noted responsibility addressing overrun challenges CPs lies consultants, contractors. Moreover, planning scheduling factors (PSF) be most noteworthy category greatly influence project performance. In contrast, records documentation (RDF) scored as second significant factor terms overruns. study, therefore, concludes should have an adequate cash flow plan, properly manage financial resources, advance site management through experts, institute appropriate scheduling. Thus, these research findings propose lead overrun, portraying establishment robust systems eliminate causes.
