چکیده

Geopolymers are emerging construction materials with lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to the conventional cementitious materials. The knowledge of curing process and related pore structures important for optimizing properties these different applications. final structure sensitive amount used water, however specifics unclear. metakaolin-based geopolymers a narrow water-to-solid (w/s) ratio (0.59–0.66) were monitored by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) relaxometry cryoporometry. 14-day was investigated monitoring change T2 T1 relaxation times water signal intensity. After curing, characterized 2D T1-T2 correlation T2-T2 exchange measurements absorbed water. size distributions (PSDs) measured NMR cryoporometry nitrogen physisorption mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) results. We found that decreased as matured during while dissolution condensation periods distinguished changes in amplitude reflecting proton density. three distinct sizes connectivity between pores identified from spectra. Their PSDs measured, they correspond two originating arrangement clusters defective pores. In w/s (0.59–0.66), same all samples when cured at 24 °C observed increase function ratio.

Thermal Behaviour of Metakaolin/Fly Ash Geopolymers with Chamotte Aggregate

Geopolymers are generally appreciated for their good resistance against high temperatures. This paper compares the influence of thermal treatment with temperatures ranging from 200 to 1200 °C on the mechanical properties and microstructure of geopolymers based on two different aluminosilicate precursors, metakaolin and fly ash. Moreover, the paper is also aimed at characterizing the effect of c...

Preparation and Properties of Alkali Activated Metakaolin-Based Geopolymer

The effective activation and utilization of metakaolin as an alkali activated geopolymer precursor and its use in concrete surface protection is of great interest. In this paper, the formula of alkali activated metakaolin-based geopolymers was studied using an orthogonal experimental design. It was found that the optimal geopolymer was prepared with metakaolin, sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate...

1H solid-state NMR investigation of structure and dynamics of anhydrous proton conducting triazole-functionalized siloxane polymers.

(1)H MAS solid-state NMR methods are applied to elucidate the conduction mechanism of an anhydrous proton conducting triazole-functionalized polysiloxane. At temperatures below T = 260 K, hydrogen bonding between neighboring heterocycles is observed and a dimer formation can be excluded. From the temperature dependence of (1)H MAS NMR spectra, different dynamic processes of the triazole ring co...

Modeling of Compressive Strength of Metakaolin Based Geopolymers by The Use of Artificial Neural Network RESEARCH NOTE)

In order to study the effect of R2O/Al2O3 (where R=Na or K), SiO2/Al2O3, Na2O/K2O and H2O/R2O molar ratios on the compressive strength (CS) of Metakaolin base geopolymers, more than forty data were gathered from literature. To increase the number of data, some experiments were also designed. The resulted data were utilized to train and test the three layer artificial neural network (ANN). Bayes...
