Abstract. Saensouk P, Boonma T, S. 2022. Curcuma pulcherrima (Zingiberaceae), a new rare species of subgen. Ecomata from eastern Thailand. Biodiversitas 23: 6635-6644. Boonma, & P. sp. nov. (Zingiberaceae: Zingibereae, belonging to subgenus Ecomata) distributed in Ubon Ratchathani Province, the part The morphological characteristic this causes it fall into due presence epigynous glands, lack coma bracts, bracts fused only at base, and production open-form flowers. Furthermore, is similar pierreana Gagnep., its color flowers with pink tinge, but lighter (vs. C. maroon tip), siamensis characteristics anther spurs. Nevertheless, after careful examination comparison all allied genus, especially Ecomata, was found that plant did not match any existing species. Therefore, we describe here as science name pulcherrima, according species's very beautiful inflorescences In contrast, description, illustrations, vernacular name, ecology, phenology, distribution, utilization, conservation status, map table ally species, including revised key are provided.
