چکیده
In this paper, a curatorial perspective is developed to draw attention the notion that smart cities are assembled within field of relations and thus inevitably connected constellations actors, histories, materialities ideas. way, informed by diverse disciplines such as art history, critical theory institutional critique, can be used reveal struggles through which fragmented, entangled shifting technologies, places policy ideas purposely cultivated prefigure new ways living in cities. Drawing on an in-depth longitudinal case study Milton Keynes (MK), English town founded 1967, paper examines how concepts city were together, catalyze possibly (re)configure pre-existing policies, narratives materialities, i.e. curate developments. Urban curation, understood selection, organization care for constellation elements their relation place, revealed profoundly political. Actors with local remits urban render them receptive agendas while pursuing contextually defined goals often resisting those imposed from elsewhere.

Living Labs aim to engage in user-centered design practices where users are included in their daily life environment as innovative agents. However, empirical insights in end user engagement in Living Lab practices are currently lacking. This article focuses on opening up this black box of user engagement by analyzing the involvement of a group of entrepreneurs in a Living Lab smart city pilot i...
متن کاملStochastic Navigation in Smart Cities
In this work we show how a simple model based on chemical signaling can reduce the exploration times in urban environments. The problem is relevant for smart city navigation where electric vehicles try to find recharging stations with unknown locations. To this end we have adapted the classical ant foraging swarm algorithm to urban morphologies. A perturbed Markov chain model is shown to qualit...
