cuHARM: A New GPU-accelerated GRMHD Code and Its Application to ADAF Disks

We introduce a new GPU-accelerated general-relativistic magneto-hydrodynamic (GR-MHD) code based on HARM which we call cuHARM. The is written in CUDA-C and uses OpenMP to parallelize multi-GPU setups. Our allows us run high resolution simulations of accretion disks the formation structure jets without need multi-node supercomputer infrastructure. A $256^3$ simulation well within reach an Nvidia DGX-V100 server, with computation being factor about 10 times faster if only CPU was used. use this examine several disk structures all SANE state. find that: (i) increasing magnetic field, while state does not affect mass rate; (ii) Simultaneous increase size keeping ratio energies fixed, lead destruction jet once flux through horizon decrease below certain limit. This demonstrates that existence linear function initial field strength; (iii) weak adiabatic index gas, relativistic gas tend have wider jet.
