Cuckoo search algorithm to solve the problem of economic emission dispatch with the incorporation of facts devices under the valve-point loading effect

The essential objective of optimal power flow is to find a stable operating point which minimizes the cost production generators and its losses, keeps system acceptable in terms limits on active reactive powers generators. In this paper, we propose nature-inspired Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA) solve economic/emission dispatch problems with incorporation FACTS devices under valve-point loading effect (VPE). proposed method applied different test systems cases minimize fuel total emissions see influence integration devices. obtained results confirm efficiency robustness compared other optimization techniques published recently literature. addition, simulation show advantages for optimizing cost, losses all transmission lines.
