چکیده
A proposed method to obtain the dose for Computed Tomography was evaluated on long a phantom, made of polyethylene. This phantom is 600 mm large. Adopting an empirical characterized function , tendency asymptotical grow by increase scanning length can estimate in infinite single axial rotation x-ray tube. The curve estimated different clinical protocols: tension, pitch, head/body, and center/peripheral measurements. ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene length, named ICRU/AAPM partnership between ICRU AAPM (Task Group 200). provides higher scanner then PMMA whose measurement 100 mm. measures were performed General Electric, Toshiba, Philips scanners. thimble ion chamber inserted center or periphery phantom. Using measurements, functions (equilibrium dose, equilibrium scatter fraction) obtained. scan has been demonstrated be sufficient function.

Estimation of fetal absorbed dose from low-dose attenuation-correction CT in PET / CT imaging by using the Body Builder Phantom
One of the methods of studying the physiology and metabolism of important tissues such as the heart, brain and cancer tumors is the use of PET/CT System. A small number of patients are pregnant women who undergo a PET/CT scan due to lack of knowledge about pregnancy or due to dire clinical need. The final dose received by the fetus is based on three factors: the absorbed dose of the fetal tissu...
متن کاملExperimental estimates of peak skin dose and its relationship to the CT dose index using the CTDI head phantom.
A straightforward method is presented to estimate peak skin doses (PSDs) delivered by computed tomography (CT) scanners. The measured PSD values are related to the well-known volume CT dose index (CTDI(vol)), displayed on the console of CT scanners. PSD measurement estimates were obtained, in four CT units, by placing radiochromic film on the surface of a CTDI head phantom. Six different X-ray ...
متن کاملRadiation dose reduction for CT lung cancer screening using ASIR and MBIR: a phantom study
The purpose of this study was to reduce the radiation dosage associated with computed tomography (CT) lung cancer screening while maintaining overall diagnostic image quality and definition of ground-glass opacities (GGOs). A lung screening phantom and a multipurpose chest phantom were used to quantitatively assess the performance of two iterative image reconstruction algorithms (adaptive stati...
متن کاملDose reduction in CT urography and vasculature phantom studies using model‐based iterative reconstruction
To evaluate the feasibility of radiation dose reduction using model-based iterative reconstruction (MBIR) for evaluating the ureters and vasculature in a phantom, a tissue-equivalent CT dose phantom was scanned using a 64-channel CT scan-ner. Tubes of varying diameters filled with different dilutions of a contrast agent, simulating ureters or vessels, were inserted into the center of the phanto...
