This paper investigates the performance of cryptocurrencies and market indices. Using dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) model, result shows that indices, contrary to much literature, tend move in same direction, resulting little or no benefits portfolio management. Dividing into sub-sample period, have moved even more strongly with indices during recent period after COVID-19 pandemic, indicating possibility hedging benefit. inclusion cryptocurrency a increases return as well volatility, risk-adjusted does not show any sign improvement. A comprising FTSE 100 Index seems receive greatest benefit including improves.
