Cross‐scale interdependencies require attention in forest restoration

A governance perspective that connects actors at multiple levels in forest restoration is largely missing and much needed to expedite the translation of national targets into long-lasting outcomes. An explicit focus on interactions across levels, how these influence ecological processes different spatial can overcome general tendency either from top-down or bottom-up help improve quality restoration.
