Abstract We study the processes $$K{\bar{K}} \rightarrow \phi $$ K ¯ → ϕ , $$\pi D D^*$$ π D ∗ {\bar{D}} {\bar{D}}^*$$ and production of $$\psi (3770)$$ ψ ( 3770 ) (4040)$$ 4040 (4160)$$ 4160 (4415)$$ 4415 mesons in collisions charmed or strange mesons. The process 2-to-1 meson–meson scattering involves a quark an antiquark from two initial annihilating into gluon subsequently being absorbed by spectator antiquark. Transition amplitudes for derive transition potential conjunction with mesonic quark–antiquark wave functions relative-motion function these partial expansion so that parity total-angular-momentum conservation are maintained. calculate flavor spin matrix elements accordance unpolarized cross sections reactions using amplitudes. Cross relate to nodes their radial functions. suggest as probes hadronic matter results quark–gluon plasma created ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions.
