چکیده

Abstract Aim Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC) is a rare congenital anomaly in which at least one of the veins do not drain into left atrium. Patients with PAPVC can often be asymptomatic and presence right heart dilatation on echo should prompt assessment anatomy. The aim this study was to compare anatomical features contemporary cohort patients previous historical cohorts, order determine whether use 3 dimensional imaging techniques has altered diagnostic yield subtypes. Methods A retrospective review diagnosed basis CT and/or MRI imaging, between 2010 2020. Results 45 cases were found. 60% women an average age 53 years (17–85 years). 25 20 CT, scanning being used increasing frequency during period covered. most common pattern right-sided involvement, isolated 36 (80%) – see chart 1. Of these, majority had upper (19, 53%); 13 (36%) middle PAPVC, 1 2 lower unilateral PAPVC. Bilateral involvement seen 4 (9%), left-sided (7%), (4%). Associated sinus venosus defects (SVDs) only detected 15 (33%): 14 APVC bilateral There superior SVDs, inferior SVD coronary (see 2). 27 (48%) Turner's Syndrome, Most (8, 61%), (23%) (31%) 3. 17 (38%) have their surgically redirected, (29%) associated SVD. Conclusion With Increasing cross sectional we are seeing heterogeneity patterns compared cohorts1,2. Interatrial communications less frequently seen, unusual drainage more our Syndrome group. Rare Congenital Diaphragmatic Defects

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a developmental defect of the diaphragm that allows abdominal viscera to herniate into the chest. The reported incidence of CDH is estimated to be between 1 in 2000 to 5000 births. Defects are more common on the left side, with approximately 80% being left sided and 20% right sided. Bilateral CDH defects are rare and have a high incidence of associated a...

Cystic thymoma: diagnosis by cross-sectional imaging.

Thymomas are the most common primary tumours of the anterior mediastinum in adults, and are composed of a mixture of lymphocytes and epithelial cells in varying proportions, with scattered cystic regions of various size seen in 40% of thymomas pathologically (1). However, those that resulted in almost complete cystic transformation have been reported rarely (24). The present case report describ...

Complications of Corrective Surgery in Preterm Neonates with Congenital Heart Defects: What is the Solution?

Mild congenital heart defects require no treatment, while severe forms of these diseases need immediate interventions. There are several limits in preterm neonates on drug interventions, interventional procedures, and even heart surgery due to the prematurity of pulmonary, renal, and central nervous systems. Considering the mentioned points, the collaboration of other medical professions, parti...

Carotidynia: A Rare Diagnosis for Unilateral Neck Pain Revealed by Cross-Sectional Imaging

Idiopathic carotidynia (IC) is a rare and poorly understood syndrome consisting of unilateral neck pain, tenderness, and increased pulsations over the affected carotid bifurcation. A growing body of evidence supports the hypothesis that IC is a distinct clinicopathologic entity with characteristic imaging features. We report the case of a 34-year-old Caucasian male presenting with intense unila...
