چکیده
Understanding the anticipated impact of climate change on agriculture, as well water conservation, is critical to achieving food security. Therefore, during this time and due reduced resources increased demand, it important study water-stress conditions crops. Two successive seasons were carried out through 2021 2022 estimate crop coefficient (Kc) effect abscisic acid red cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) under at a private farm in Bilbeis region, Sharqia Governorate, Egypt. The aim was different concentrations (ABA) (0, 25, 50, 75 ppm) various irrigation levels (100, 80, 60% field capacity “FC”) growth process yield parameters plants. results revealed that average estimated for crops standard conditions, 100% FC, 0.75, 1.07, 1.2 0.88 0.77, 1.2, 1.25 0.82 Initial, Development, Mid, End stages growing seasons, respectively. Data collected both clearly showed all treatments significantly plant’s when compared control. However, (ABA, application with requirements (80% FC) statistically most effective treatment study. Hence, means savings 20% can be achieved without compromising yield.

Effect of salicylic acid on cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) grown under salinity stress. Sunaina and Narsingh Bahadur Singh*
The effects of salicylic acid (SA) on growth and metabolism of Brassica oleracea var. Capitata under salt stress was studied in a hydroponic culture. NaCl at 50 mM concentration and SA at 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5mM concentrations were used as treatments. The results showed that salt exhibited inhibitory effects on shoot and root length, fresh and dry weight, and RWC of the seedlings. NaCl at 50 mM co...
متن کاملChromosome Doubling of Microspore-Derived Plants from Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) and Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica L.)
Chromosome doubling of microspore-derived plants is an important factor in the practical application of microspore culture technology because breeding programs require a large number of genetically stable, homozygous doubled haploid plants with a high level of fertility. In the present paper, 29 populations of microspore-derived plantlets from cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) and brocc...
متن کاملImpact of copper toxicity on stone-head cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) in hydroponics
Arable soils are frequently subjected to contamination with copper as the consequence of imbalanced fertilization with manure and organic fertilizers and/or extensive use of copper-containing fungicides. In the present study, the exposure of stone-head cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) to elevated Cu(2+) levels resulted in leaf chlorosis and lesser biomass yield at ≥2 µ M. Root nitrate ...
متن کاملCabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata) phytochemicals with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential.
BACKGROUND The objective of this study was to investigate antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of cabbage phytochemicals. MATERIALS AND METHODS Color coordinates were evaluated by colorimetry, and the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities were analyzed by spectrophotometer for some common cabbage varieties. RESULTS Red heads had the highest total antioxidant contents followed b...
متن کاملEvaluation of Antioxidant Activities of Cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata L.)
At present, it is widely-known that free radicals are the causes of illness such as cancers, coronary heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and aging. One method of protection from free radical is the consumption of antioxidant-containing foods or herbs. Several analytical methods have been used for qualitative and quantitative determination of antioxidants. This project aimed to evaluate antioxid...
