Critical Factors Affecting Street Littering Behavior of Youth

Street littering has known to be a global phenomenon over the years. The intensity of varies across societies and age groups. This study on street is centered around youth. objectives cover two aspects: exploring factors affecting behavior in Sri Lanka suggesting policy implications. adopted quantitative methods based deductive reasoning approach. Data was collected as survey research using simple random sampling technique. 315 youth were selected out total population Colombo, 2022. Analysis data performed Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Analytical tools such Pearson correlation, analysis variance (ANOVA), independent sample t-test, chi-square test used. found have strong association between critical factors; visibility litter group which corresponded with social psychological theories namely theory deindividuation comparison.
