Two-Dimensional Ising Model and Local Nonuniversality of Critical Exponents
The Ising model is the simplest model of magnetism and was proposed by Ising [1] in 1925. The most interesting property of this model was discovered by Onsager [2] for the two-dimensional model in 1944. This model has a phase transition and was the basis for the modern theory of phase transitions. The 8-vertex model was solved by Baxter [3] and has a nonuniversal behavior that manifests itself ...
متن کاملIsing Exponents in the Two-dimensional Site-diluted Ising Model
We study the site-diluted Ising model in two dimensions with Monte Carlo simulations. Using nite-size scaling techniques we compute the critical exponents observing deviations from the pure Ising ones. The diierences can be explained as the eeects of logarithmic corrections, without requiring to change the Universality Class.
متن کاملCritical Exponents of the 3-d Ising Model
We present a status report on the ongoing analysis of the 3D Ising model with nearest-neighbor interactions using the Monte Carlo Renormalization Group (MCRG) and finite size scaling (FSS) methods on 64, 128, and 256 simple cubic lattices. Our MCRG estimates are K nn = 0.221655(1)(1) and ν = 0.625(1). The FSS results for K are consistent with those from MCRG but the value of ν is not. Our best ...
متن کاملConformal anomaly and critical exponents of the XY Ising model.
We use extensive Monte Carlo transfer matrix calculations on infinite strips of widths L up to 30 lattice spacing and a finite-size scaling analysis to obtain critical exponents and conformal anomaly number c for the twodimensional XY -Ising model. This model is expected to describe the critical behavior of a class of systems with simultaneous U(1) and Z2 symmetries of which the fully frustrate...
متن کاملDynamic critical exponents of the Ising model with multispin interactions
We revisit the short-time dynamics of 2D Ising model with three spin interactions in one direction and estimate the critical exponents z, θ, β and ν. Taking properly into account the symmetry of the Hamiltonian we obtain results completely different from those obtained by Wang et al.. For the dynamic exponent z our result coincides with that of the 4-state Potts model in two dimensions. In addi...
