چکیده
Introduction . Criss-cross syndrome is a rare congenital heart disease with an incidence of 8 cases per 1 million newborns. The purpose the work to demonstrate CHD, criss-cross diagnosed postnatally. was Materials and methods A clinical observation newborn child defect presented. Medical documents results examination (physical examination) instrumental examinations (X-ray examination, echocardiography, computed tomography) were used for analysis. Results (CHD) – discordant atrioventricular connections, transposition great vessels preductal aortic coarctation monitored from time delivery until surgical treatment. This malformation postnatally, based on characteristic symptoms detailed segmental analysis ultrasound picture heart, which presented as illustrations. Timely diagnosis allowed choice adequate medication tactics treatment, confirmed by tomography. Discussion It important clinician remember that diseases cannot always be antenatally, screening indicating presence more common malformations, real postnatal may differ significantly. An additional difficulty differential described due anomalous mutual arrangement anatomical structures. Conclusion Detailed during echocardiography immediately after birth reveals main diagnostic marker inability simultaneously visualize all four chambers both valves four-chamber position.

Cardiac CT of a Criss-Cross Heart: A Case Report
A criss-cross heart is an extremely rare congenital anomaly that is commonly associated with complex cardiac defects. The literature on imaging of such a condition is limited. In particular, cardiac CT imaging of criss-cross heart is sparse. We present a case of a full-term infant with criss-cross heart, in which cardiac CT delineated the complex heart anatomy and confirmed known echocardiograp...
متن کاملSecond-degree Atrioventricular (Mobitz 1) Heart Block in a 52-hour-old Newborn: A Very Rare Case Report
Background: Cardiac conduction disorders are rare syndromes in neonates and children. According to the literature atrial septal defect, especially ostium secundum type, is associated with atrioventricular (AV) block. Wenckebach conduction heart block is very rare in a neonate; however, there is a dearth of research on the prevalence of this type of heart block regarding the neonates and pediatr...
متن کاملAnatomy of a criss-cross heart.
To the Editor: We read with interest the article by Araoz et al1 and its description and beautiful three-dimensional (3D) images of a rare criss-cross heart. The 3D gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) images clearly demonstrate the complex anatomy, in particular the relationship between the crossed atrioventricular pathways. Based on the images presented, however, the assig...
متن کاملCor Triatriatum Sinistrum Presenting as Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease A Rare Case Report
Cor triatriatum is an acyanotic congenital heart disease. We present a rare case of cor triatriatum sinistrum in a 6-month-old female infant who was presented with cyanosis and failure to thrive. The 2D transthoracic echocardiography and the Doppler color flow imaging showed a proximal venous chamber communicating to the distal left atrium through restrictive opening to the low-pressure, dis...
متن کاملThe Criss-Cross Heart
During infancy, the patient was diagnosed with a large VSD and underwent PA banding through a left thoracotomy at the age of 5 months. At the time of PA banding for this patient, two-dimensional echocardiography and MRI were not yet available, and the complex anatomy could not be detected as easily as it can be today. When he was 4 years old, he underwent a sternotomy to close the VSD. However,...
