Creep Characteristic Test and Creep Model of Frozen Soil

چکیده
In order to research the creep deformation characteristics of frozen soil and effect various influencing factors on creep, indoor uniaxial tests were carried out specimens at temperatures −5, −4, −3 −2 °C under loads 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 σt, respectively. The different load conditions are analyzed unconfined conditions. results show that test conditions, when is low, there no accelerated stage in curve, which belongs decaying type creep; curve enters turns non-attenuated; temperature most important external factor affecting permafrost proportion ice key internal for negatively correlated with sensitivity rate increases decrease ice; damage variable D introduced modify constitutive equation soil, process well described by modified soil.

Soil Creep and Convex Upward Velocity Profiles
The movement of unconsolidated materials near the Earth’s surface is often driven by disturbances that occur at a range of spatial and temporal scales. The nature of these disturbances ranges from highly variable, such as tree turnover, to periodic and predictable, such as frost heave or creep. To explore the effect of probabilistic disturbances on surface processes, we formulated a granular cr...
متن کاملCreep and Creep–Rupture Behavior of Wood-Based Structural Panels
This paper summarizes a cooperative research program between the USDA Forest Service, Forest Products Laboratory (FPL), in Madison, Wisconsin, and Forintek Canada Corp. in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This research program provided detailed creep–rupture and some creep information for composite panel products. Commercially produced plywood, oriented strandboard (OSB), and minimally alig...
متن کاملTransformation-Induced Creep and Creep Recovery of Shape Memory Alloy
If the shape memory alloy is subjected to the subloop loading under the stress-controlled condition, creep and creep recovery can appear based on the martensitic transformation. In the design of shape memory alloy elements, these deformation properties are important since the deflection of shape memory alloy elements can change under constant stress. The conditions for the progress of the marte...
متن کاملThe Fracture Mechanics Concept of Creep and Creep/Fatigue Crack Growth in Life Assessment
There is an increasing need to assess the service life of components containing defect which operate at high temperature. This paper describes the current fracture mechanics concepts that are employed to predict cracking of engineering materials at high temperatures under static and cyclic loading. The relationship between these concepts and those of high temperature life assessment methods is ...
متن کاملA Model for Creep and Creep Damage in the γ-Titanium Aluminide Ti-45Al-2Mn-2Nb
Gamma titanium aluminides (γ-TiAl) display significantly improved high temperature mechanical properties over conventional titanium alloys. Due to their low densities, these alloys are increasingly becoming strong candidates to replace nickel-base superalloys in future gas turbine aeroengine components. To determine the safe operating life of such components, a good understanding of their creep...
