In developmental biology, the regulation of stem cell plasticity and differentiation remains an open question. CBP(CREB-binding protein)/p300 is a conserved gene family that functions as transcriptional co-activator plays important roles in wide range cellular processes, including death, DNA damage response, tumorigenesis. The acetyl transferase activity CBPs particularly important, histone non-histone acetylation results changes chromatin architecture protein affect expression. Many studies have described CBP/p300 proliferation differentiation. planarian Schmidtea mediterranea excellent model for vivo study molecular mechanisms underlying during regeneration.
