CpCo(III) Precatalysts for [2+2+2] Cycloadditions

Catalysts applied in cobalt-catalyzed cyclotrimerizations reactions general rely on the use of Co(I) precatalysts or situ generation catalysts from Co(II) sources by reduction presence steering ligands, often addition less noble metals. In this paper, we report synthesis and properties novel stable CpCo(III) complexes as their exemplary evaluation for application catalytic [2+2+2] cycloadditions. The role phosphite neutral well iodide cyanide anionic reactivity was evaluated. A modified one-pot approach to Cp ring-functionalized Cp’Co(III) developed. investigations demonstrated that can be directly triynes without reducing agents additives.
