Strictosidine is an important molecule in the biosynthesis of higher plants that gives rise to a great variety structures. A series bioinspired transformations are applied convert strictosidine aglycones into monoterpenoid indole alkaloids reported. In this image, aglycon depicted as gavel produces treasure Japanese folktales represent production various natural products from single molecule.
