چکیده

Background: This study aims to present an overview and critical appraisal of all previous studies comparing costs outcomes the different modes fixation in total hip arthroplasty (THA). A secondary aim is provide conclusions regarding most cost-effective mode implant per gender age-specific population THA, based on high quality studies. Methods: systematic search was conducted identify cost-effectiveness analyses (CEAs) THA. Analysis results done with solely CEAs that had a methodological quality. Results: 12 relevant were identified presented, which 5 considered have rigor for inclusion analysis results. These found either cemented or hybrid age- gender-specific subgroups. Conclusion: Currently available well performed generally support use age-groups THA both genders. However, these findings mainly single database depended assumptions made studies’ methodology. Issues discussed this paper be future work needed.

Cemented, cementless, and hybrid prostheses for total hip replacement: cost effectiveness analysis

OBJECTIVE To compare the cost effectiveness of the three most commonly chosen types of prosthesis for total hip replacement. DESIGN Lifetime cost effectiveness model with parameters estimated from individual patient data obtained from three large national databases. SETTING English National Health Service. PARTICIPANTS Adults aged 55 to 84 undergoing primary total hip replacement for oste...

Comparison of cementless and hybrid cemented total knee arthroplasty.

Cementless total knee arthroplasty (TKA) implants were designed to provide long-term fixation without the risk of cement-associated complications. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcome of titanium-coated cementless implants compared with hybrid TKA implants with a cemented tibial and a cementless femoral component. The authors performed a case-control, single-center study of 120...

Reverse hybrid total hip arthroplasty

Background and purpose - The use of a cemented cup together with an uncemented stem in total hip arthroplasty (THA) has become popular in Norway and Sweden during the last decade. The results of this prosthetic concept, reverse hybrid THA, have been sparsely described. The Nordic Arthroplasty Register Association (NARA) has already published 2 papers describing results of reverse hybrid THAs in...

Hybrid Total Knee Arthroplasty Revisited: Midterm Followup of Hybrid versus Cemented Fixation in Total Knee Arthroplasty

The optimal method of fixation in total knee arthroplasty is still debated. Hybrid total knee arthroplasty (TKA), with cemented tibial and cementless femoral components, is a proposed method of fixation to improve outcomes. Although several studies have shown favorable outcomes, there is still lack of consensus in the literature. We hypothesized that hybrid TKA yields similar clinical, radiogra...

Cementless femoral fixation in total hip arthroplasty.

Cementless femoral fixation by means of bone ingrowth has been successful in total hip arthroplasty in patients with sufficient bone quality. Consistent bone ingrowth and resultant long-term success involve many factors, including surgical technique, initial mechanical stability achieved at time of implantation, stem design and material, and implant surface. One potential method for achieving f...
