Correlation of variations in species abundance of Atlantic forests regenerating on abandoned pastures with different environmental and spatial variables

چکیده
The conversion of native forests into pastures is still a common practice in Brazil. Abandoned have great potential for natural regeneration and therefore could play an important role meeting the enormous demand forest restoration. Few studies, however, investigated extent to which spatially-structured environmental variables community structure are correlated with variation species abundance regenerating on abandoned pastures. Therefore, we aimed determine whether spatial were capable explaining woody subtropical Atlantic Forest. We systematically distributed 45 sample plots size inclusion criteria that changed according vegetation layer three different In general, most our models able explain was spatially-unstructured physical-chemical soil properties. A smaller part topography-related variables. An even portion but not results suggest more closely related niche-based processes mediated by than stochastic processes.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Young restored forests increase seedling recruitment in abandoned pastures in the Southern Atlantic rainforest.
Planting seedlings is a common technique for abandoned pastures restoration in the tropics, supposedly by increasing the seedling recruitment and accelerating succession. In this study we evaluated the role of a young restored forest (one year old) in enhancing seedling establishment from two sources (seed rain and seed bank), in the Atlantic Rainforest region in Southern Brazil. We compared ab...
