Correlation Between Cutting Force and Residual Stress in Dry End-Milling of Inconel HX

Residual stress in the end-milled subsurface can significantly affect fatigue performance of material. In end-milling process, generation residual is extremely complex, which closely related to spindle speed, feed per tooth and cutting force. Thus, it crucial elucidate influence speed on force stress, also correlation between terms tooth. According this, dry Inconel HX was performed by climb-milling using Kennametal KYS40 solid ceramic end-mill. From this experimental test, showed a U-shaped relationship with increase while linear Furthermore, for low focus should be choosing optimum combination (21,400 24,100 rpm) (0.014 0.016 mm/tooth).
