چکیده
Ethiopia is the center of origin for Ethiopian mustard (Brassica carinata). The crop one oldest oil crops and farmers in highlands country grow as a leafy vegetable their gardens. However, no attempt has been made to assess association characters path analysis leaf. This study was conducted traits among yield related determine direct indirect effects traits. A total 36 genotypes were evaluated at Holleta 2017/2018. results from correlation showed that genotypic coefficient edible leaf well all agro-morphological qualities positive significant apart leaves per plant width ratio length. Length petiole, length, width, petiole height had highly with both levels phenotypic. These also effect on either though each other or via level. strong these yield, high low through level an indication importance use selection. Key words: Correlation, direct, yield.

Genetics and Molecular Mapping of Black Rot Resistance Locus Xca1bc on Chromosome B-7 in Ethiopian Mustard (Brassica carinata A. Braun)
Black rot caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Pam.) Dowson is the most destructive disease of cauliflower causing huge loss to the farmers throughout the world. Since there are limited sources of resistance to black rot in B. oleracea (C genome Brassica), exploration of A and B genomes of Brassica was planned as these were thought to be potential reservoirs of black rot resistance ...
متن کاملCorrelation and Path Coefficient Analysis in Fat and Fatty Acids of Rapeseed and Mustard
Twenty-two genotypes of Brassica (B. rapa, B. juncea, and B. napus) were studied for correlation co-efficient between major fatty acids and path coefficient analysis to partition the cause and effect relationship into direct and indirect components. Correlation coefficient of major fatty acids revealed that significant and positive correlation was between palmitic and oleic acids, palmitic and ...

The field experiment was carried out during Rabi season of the year 2011-2012 on the experimental field of Department of Horticulture, Dr. PDKV, Akola, Maharashtra (India). The study was undertaken on twenty four genotypes of coriander using Randomized Block Design with three replications. This study revealed that number of umbels per plant (0.25) and test weight (0.31) was associated significa...
متن کاملThe role of plant processing for the cancer preventive potential of Ethiopian kale (Brassica carinata)
Background: Ethiopian kale (Brassica carinata) is a horticulturally important crop used as leafy vegetable in large parts of East and Southern Africa. The leaves are reported to contain high concentrations of health-promoting secondary plant metabolites. However, scientific knowledge on their health benefits is scarce. Objective: This study aimed to determine the cancer preventive potential of ...

A study was undertaken to analyses the heritability, correlation and path co-efficient for growth and fruit characters in twenty ber (Ziziphus mauritiana Lam) genotypes grown at Fruit Research Farm under Horticulture Research Centre, BARI during January to June 2006. The highest range of variation was recorded in fruit weight (6.63-44.72 g), followed by yield per plant (14.88 64.99 kg), stone w...
