Corn-Soybean Intercropping Improved the Nutritional Quality of Forage Cultivated on Podzols in Boreal Climate

چکیده

Intercropping systems could be a potential source of nutrient-rich forage production in cool climates on podzolic soils common boreal ecosystems. In this study, we evaluated the effects corn–soybean intercropping (IC) nutritional quality forage. Two silage corn varieties were cultivated as monocropping (MC) or intercropped with three soybean using randomized complete block design. IC significantly increased crude protein (22%) and decreased acid detergent (14%) neutral (6%) fibers. Forage net energy, total digestible nutrients, ash, dry matter intake, relative feed value also (p ≤ 0.05) treatments compared to MC. The macro micro nutrients higher than omega 3 fatty (FA) contents (67%) active microbial community plant root zone, which may contribute improvement because soil composition showed significant correlations soluble sugars, proteins potassium These results demonstrate that suitable cropping system increase podzols climates. resultant has high-value animal for livestock climate regions world.

Intercropping corn and kudzu in a rotation system with soybean

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of sowing procedures and the seed sowing rate of kudzu (Pueraria phaseoloides cv. ‘Comum’) in corn on corn plant development, forage dry matter production, weed infestation and soybean plant development and yield. The kudzu seeds were either broadcasted over the terrain or sown in furrows (in the main plots) at rates, in both cases, of 400...

Intercropping corn with soybean, lupin and forages: yield component responses

Intercropping systems influence yield variables of the component crops, such as harvest index, hundred seed weight, number of reproductive organs and number of seeds, within each reproductive unit. Two experiments were carried out at each of two sites during 1993 and 1994. The first experiment investigated the effects of seeding soybean or lupin alone or in combination with one of three forages...

Quantity and Quality Evaluation of the Forage in Sorghum- Soybean Additive Intercropping under the Influence of Nitroxin and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria Bio-Fertilizers

In order to evaluate the forage quantity and quality of Sorghum in intercropping with soybean, a field experiment was carried out as a factorial based on a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Maragheh, during the 2016 growing season. The first factor included different planting patterns with eight levels (soybean monocultu...

Legume-Cereal Intercropping Improves Forage Yield, Quality and Degradability.

Intercropping legume with cereal is an extensively applied planting pattern in crop cultivation. However, forage potential and the degradability of harvested mixtures from intercropping system remain unclear. To investigate the feasibility of applying an intercropping system as a forage supply source to ruminants, two consecutive experiments (experiments 1 and 2) involving a field cultivation t...
