Copper/reduced graphene oxide film modified electrode for non-enzymatic glucose sensing application

Abstract Numerous studies suggest that modification with functional nanomaterials can enhance the electrode electrocatalytic activity, sensitivity, and selectivity of electrochemical sensors. Here, a highly sensitive cost-effective disposable non-enzymatic glucose sensor based on copper(II)/reduced graphene oxide modified screen-printed carbon is demonstrated. Facile fabrication developed sensing electrodes carried out by adsorption copper(II) onto electrode, then following reduction. The proposed illustrates good activity toward oxidation wide linear detection range from 0.10 mM to 12.5 mM, low limit 65 µM, high sensitivity 172 ?A –1 cm –2 along satisfactory anti-interference ability, reproducibility, stability, acceptable recoveries for in human serum sample (95.6–106.4%). superior performances great potential quantitation real samples.
