Controlling the spread of COVID-19 on college campuses

This research was done during the DOMath program at Duke University from May 18 to July 10, 2020. At time, and other universities across country were wrestling with question of how safely welcome students back campus in Fall. Because this, our project focused on using mathematical models evaluate strategies suppress spread virus campus, specifically dorms classrooms. For dorms, we show that giving single rooms rather than double can substantially reduce spread. classrooms, moving classes size above some cutoff online make basic reproduction number $ R_0 < 1 $, preventing a wide epidemic.
