Controlling factors determining flowability of powders for additive manufacturing: A combined experimental and simulation study

چکیده
Powder flowability affects dynamic powder behavior during additive manufacturing and varies depending on particle size distribution, morphology, surface features. In this study, Inconel 718 alloy powders were prepared by gas atomization (GA), plasma (PA), rotating electrode process (PREP). The was experimentally evaluated the avalanche angle. With help of numerical simulations, individual effects features analyzed. results showed that PREP possessed best among three powders. PSDs slightly different, but these differences had almost no effect their flowability. Nevertheless, excellent due to high sphericity thin oxide film.
