چکیده
Abstract Background Some studies have stated that intrauterine insemination (IUI) with controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) might increase the pregnancy rate, while others suggest IUI in natural cycle (NC) should be first line of treatment. It remains unclear whether it is necessary to use COS at same time when applied treat isolated male factor infertility. Thus, we aimed investigate efficacy for Methods A total 601 cycles from 307 couples who sought medical care infertility between January 2010 and February 2020 were divided into two groups: NC-IUI COS-IUI. The COS-IUI group was further subgroups according number pre-ovulatory follicles on day HCG: monofollicular development (one follicle group) least (≥ 2 group). outcomes, including clinical pregnancy, live birth, spontaneous abortion, ectopic multiple rates compared. Results comparable group. Similar results also observed among NC-IUI, one follicle, ≥ groups. However, respect a trend toward higher rate compared (8.7% vs. 0, P = 0.091), significant difference found (0 16.7%, 0.033). Conclusion In cycles, especially those follicles, increased without substantial gain overall rate; thus, not preferred If required, stimulated healthy baby goal considering safety both mothers foetuses.
