Controllable Synthesis of Nano-Micro Calcium Carbonate Mediated by Additive Engineering

Nano-micro calcium carbonate has a small particle size, uniform distribution, and good dispersion performance, offering great research value development prospects. It been widely used as filler material for rubber, paper, ink, pigments, coatings. Developing an efficient controllable approach to preparing nano-micro with adjustable morphology size significant economic environmental benefits. This study reports the synthesis of meditated by additive engineering. The effects various additives including inorganic acids, organic alcohol, surfactants on prepared materials were investigated. SEM, FT-IR other characterization methods analyze dispersion, uniformity. results showed that was 4~7 μm cubic structure. adding surfactant is in range 1~4 μm, crystal shape changes from calcite vaterite after sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate. With aid additives, particles dispersed more evenly. mechanism mediated engineering elucidated discussed. SDBS found be best carbonate, conditions explored optimized.
