Control of Fork-Join Processing Networks with Multiple Job Types and Parallel Shared Resources

A fork-join processing network is a queueing in which tasks associated with job can be processed simultaneously. Fork-join networks are prevalent computer systems, healthcare, manufacturing, project management, justice and so on. Unlike the conventional networks, have synchronization constraints that arise because of parallel cause significant delays. We study scheduling multiple types shared resources. Jobs arriving system fork into arbitrary number tasks, then those parallel, they join leave network. There resources types. problem for (i.e., type to prioritize at any given time) propose an asymptotically optimal policy diffusion scale.
