Control of browning in plant tissue culture: A review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Browning is one of the severe problems in plant tissue culture that hampers successful vitro propagation plants especially woody and perennial plants. In order to control browning problem, different efforts has been made such as presoaking explants antioxidant solution, incorporation antioxidants into medium, culturing dark period frequent subculturing explants. Presoaking solutions like polyvinylpyrolidone (PvP) ascorbic acid (AC) most frequently used. Incorporation 0.2-0.5g/l PvP 15-250mg/l MS medium commonly used followed by activated charcoal, citric acid, MES AIP. Moreover, sub incubation other alternative. This review article includes study previous current research achievements a comprehensive way on methods problem suggests further optimization for when using same or crops well

Inhibition of Phenylpropanoid Biosynthesis in Artemisia annua L.: A Novel Approach to Reduce Oxidative Browning in Plant Tissue Culture
Oxidative browning is a common and often severe problem in plant tissue culture systems caused by the accumulation and oxidation of phenolic compounds. The current study was conducted to investigate a novel preventative approach to address this problem by inhibiting the activity of the phenylalanine ammonia lyase enzyme (PAL), thereby reducing the biosynthesis of phenolic compounds. This was ac...
متن کاملElicitors in Plant Tissue Culture
Plants or plant cells in vitro, show physiological and morphological response to microbial, physical or chemical factors which are known as ‘elicitors’. Elicitation is a process of induced or enhanced synthesis of secondary metabolites by the plants to ensure their survival persistence and competitiveness. The application of elicitors, which is currently the focus of research, has been consider...
متن کاملHistory of plant tissue culture.
Plant tissue culture, or the aseptic culture of cells, tissues, organs, and their components under defined physical and chemical conditions in vitro, is an important tool in both basic and applied studies as well as in commercial application. It owes its origin to the ideas of the German scientist, Haberlandt, at the beginning of the twentieth century. The early studies led to root cultures, em...
