CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE BLACK FLY FAUNA (DIPTERA, SIMULIIDAE) OF TURKEY WITH A NEW RECORD FROM THE WESTERN BLACK SEA REGION

Despite Anatolia's rich biodiversity potential, the blackfly fauna of Turkey has not been fully explored. 15 species from 73 different lotic habitats Western Black Sea Region have reported. One species, Simulium (Nevermannia) carthusiense Grenier & Dorier, 1959 is new for Turkish fauna. 10 recorded this region first time. The material was mainly collected in spring 2016 to 2018. Distributional remarks both and world are given along with brief taxonomic evaluations each species.
