Late Pleistocene Labrador Sea depositional systems developed in front of ice streams and glacier outlets from the Laurentide Ice Sheet (LIS) are documented by Huntec 3.5 kHz seismic profiles piston cores. Position of the Polar Front along the western Iberian margin during key cold episodes of the last 45 ka
[1] This paper documents the migration of the Polar Front (PF) over the Iberian margin during some of the cold climatic extremes of the last 45 ka. It is based on a compilation of robust and coherent paleohydrological proxies obtained from eleven cores distributed between 36 and 42 N. Planktonic dO (Globigerina bulloides), ice-rafted detritus concentrations, and the relative abundance of the po...
متن کاملClimatic and oceanographic variations on the California continental margin during the last 160 kyr
Organic matter in sediment samples from three ODP sites (Ocean Drilling Program Leg 167) that form a south-north transect was investigated to reconstruct the paleoclimatic and oceanographic conditions on the California continental margin during the last 160 kyr. Alkenone-derived paleosea surface temperatures (SST) are 3 to 6 C colder in glacial stages and reveal a clear relationship with global...

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Postglacial (after 18 ka) deep-sea sedimentation along the Hikurangi subduction margin (New Zealand): Characterisation, timing and origin of turbidites
10 Recent sedimentation along the Hikurangi subduction margin off northeastern New Zealand is 11 investigated using a series of piston cores collected between 2003 and 2008. The active Hikurangi 12 Margin lies along the Pacific-Australia subduction plate boundary and contains a diverse range of 13 geomorphologic settings. Slope basin stratigraphy is thick and complex, resulting from sustained h...
