The Kodaira Dimension of Certain Moduli Spaces of Abelian Surfaces
Moduli Spaces for polarized abelian surfaces are obtained as quotients of the Siegel upper half–plane H2 by arithmetic subgroups of the symplectic group Sp(4,Q). In this paper we will look at the Kodaira dimension of the moduli spaces At which parameterize abelian surfaces with a polarization of type (1, t). For many small values of t it is known that At is rational or unirational (e.g. see the...

متن کاملOn the Height of Foliated Surfaces with Vanishing Kodaira Dimension
We prove that the height of a foliated surface of Kodaira dimension zero belongs to {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12}. We also construct an explicit projective model for Brunella’s very special foliation.
متن کاملKodaira dimension and zeros of holomorphic one-forms
We show that every holomorphic one-form on a smooth complex projective variety of general type must vanish at some point. The proof uses generic vanishing theory for Hodge modules on abelian varieties.
متن کاملExtended Deformation of Kodaira Surfaces
We present the extended Kuranishi space for Kodaira surface as a nontrivial example to Kontsevich and Barannikov’s extended deformation theory. We provide a non-trivial example of Hertling-Manin’s weak Frobenius manifold. In addition, we find that Kodaira surface is its own mirror image in the sense of Merkulov. The calculations of extended deformation and the weak Frobenius structure are based...
