چکیده

Star anise (Illicium verum) is widely used as a medicinal herb and spice. The extracts, essential oil oleoresin, can be produced by hydro-distillation steam distillation, while solvent supercritical fluid extraction to extract oleoresin. In this work, the star distilled obtain oil, subsequently, its residue extracted get Whole grounded fruit for 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 hours, thus highest yield obtained at 20 hours from fruit, trans-anethole content of 68.50% 8 fruit. Residue whole fruit-distillation process Soxhlet with three types (ethanol, diethyl ether, n-hexane) 6 hours. was ethanol 1.16% trans-anethol n-hexane fraction. One sample anethole fruit-distilled oleoresin are picked, later they tested measure their antioxidant capacity Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power Assay (FRAP).

Chemical Composition and Antibacterial Activity of the Essential Oil of Lavandula angustifolia Isolated by Solvent Free Microwave Assisted Extraction and Hydrodistillation

ABSTRACT: Chemical composition of Lavandula angustifolia was studied by solvent free microwave extraction (SFME) and hydrodistillation (HD) methods. 1, 8-cineole (42.7% and 37.9%), Camphor (26.1% and 21.3%) and Borneol (31.2% and 21.6%) were the major compounds that obtained by SFME and hydrodistillation, respectively. The antibacterial activity of extracted oils was investigated against Gram-p...
