Contents, Contexts, and Basics of Contextuality

This is a non-technical introduction into theory of contextuality. More precisely, it presents the basics contextuality called Contextuality-by-Default (CbD). One main tenets CbD that identity random variable determined not only by its content (that which measured or responded to) but also contexts, systematically recorded conditions under observed; and variables in different contexts possess no joint distributions. I explain why this principle has paradoxical consequences, does support holistic “everything depends on everything else” view. Contextuality defined as difference between two differences: (1) content-sharing when taken isolation, (2) same within their contexts. thus special form context-dependence rather than synonym for latter. The applies to any empirical situation describable terms variables.
