Structural response of quay crane should take more attention with the growth worldwide logistics demand and size. This paper analyzes mechanism metallic structure induced by trolley traveling. An on-site test has been conducted. The time domain girder acceleration signal shows that main influence traveling on is high-frequency impact passing through hinge point. spectrum frequency vertical vibration vibration. Single model theoretical derivation reveal displacement quasistatic. A refined numerical whole established. interaction between realized S-M contact method. calculated results are basically consistent measured signal. result indicates same information as such structural in-service affected in band. three directions 10 points show significant effect displacement. lateral eccentric loading condition girder. little dynamic structure. can be treated
