Construction Technologies for Sustainable Affordable Housing within Fragile Contexts: Proposal of a Decision Support Tool

The topic of sustainable affordable housing in developing countries is gaining increasing importance within international debates. challenge to find a balance between the concepts sustainability and affordability building construction fragile contexts, overcoming basic self-made shelter solutions towards creation durable housing. In particular, concerning selection constructive technological solutions, goal shift from current decision-making process based only on economic factors more holistic approach triple bottom line perspective, integrating economic, environmental social sustainability. With this aim, paper proposes decisional support tool for contexts characterized by poor information sustain decision-makers identifying suitable solutions. set key indicators, articulated into three pillars proposed tool, conceived as scalable replicable, finally applied specific context Mogadishu (Somalia), since it representative uncertain social, political nature contexts.
