چکیده

The uplift and denudation history of the orogenic belt basin–mountain coupling process have directly or indirectly affected generation, scale, preservation sandstone-type uranium deposits in eastern Junggar Basin by controlling source, lithology, facies, hydrogeology, post-generation modification, other mineralization conditions. Taking as research area, this study proposes constraints on tectonic basin using apatite fission track (AFT), detrital zircon geochronology, methods. results AFT age test thermal path simulation indicate that underwent four rapid uplifts; (from approximately 300 Ma to 250 Ma, from 130 90 65 30 20 0 Ma). Moreover, timing has a spatial trend gradually becoming younger south north. U-Pb showed sediment source area is mainly distributed three intervals, i.e., 460–390, 360–270, 190–170 Ma. comprehensive evaluation clastic composition, stratigraphic distribution erosion large amount exposed Carboniferous–Permian granites Qinglidi Karameri Mountain areas contributed dominant material sources for Triassic Middle Lower Jurassic strata basin. Ordovician–Early Devonian only provided Upper Altay some after magmatic activity occurred Jurassic. Based analysis influence transformation mineralization, are proposed contribute both external internal mineralization. Uranium retreat period uplifts Cretaceous Paleogene. It was terminated intensive uplift-induced deformation Miocene.

Apatite fission track age of Mesozoic sandstones from Beipiao basin, eastern China: Implications for basin provenance and tectonic evolution

The apatite fission track (FT) analysis of Jurassic sandstones from the Beipiao basin in the eastern China indicates a large variation in FT age peaks. The sandstone of the Beipiao Formation has two peak ages at 178.8 and 40.0 Ma, while the sandstone of the Tuchengzi Formation has three age peaks at 152.0, 77.5 and 32.5 Ma. This implies that the provenance of the Beipiao basin in the early Jura...

Erosional denudation of the British Columbia Coast Ranges as determined from fission-track ages of detrital zircon from the Tofino basin, Olympic Peninsula, Washington

In this study, we use up-section changes in fission-track (Ff) ages of detrital zircons to infer the tectonic evolution of the source region that fed sediments to the Totino basin, a Tertiary forearc basin in northwestern Washington State and southwestern British Columbia. We have dated 50 grains from each of eight samples from a 6-kmthick section that ranges in age from 40 to 19 Ma. The detrit...

Controls on erosion intensity in the Yangtze River basin tracked by U–Pb detrital zircon dating

a r t i c l e i n f o The Yangtze River dominates the drainage of eastern Asia, yet the processes that control erosion within the basin are obscure, making the interpretation of the detritus record difficult. In this study we used U–Pb dating of zircon grains from the modern main stream and major tributaries to identify the sources of sediment production, based on the diversity of zircon ages a...

Cooling history and exhumation of the nepheline syenites, NW Iran: constraints from apatite fission track

Thermal history and apatite fission-track ages were determined for the Kaleybar, Razgah and Bozqush alkaline intrusions which display Eocene-Oligocene stratigraphic age. These subduction-related intrusions are located in the Alborz-Azarbaijan magmatic belt which is characterized by a Paleogene magmatic flare-up associated with extensional/transtensional tectonism. The mean of Uranium content an...

NEOGENE TECTONIC EVOLUTION OF THE MAGDALENA SHELF AND SOUTHERN GULF OF CALIFORNIA: INSIGHTS FROM DETRITAL ZIRCON U-Pb AGES FROM THE MAGDALENA FAN AND ADJACENT AREAS

The Magdalena fan is an apparently beheaded submarine depocenter that has figured prominently in Middle to late Miocene reconstructions of Pacific-North American plate interactions. The deposit accumulated rapidly at the base of the continental slope atop newly formed oceanic crust of the Farallon plate from 14.5-13 Ma. Subduction of this crust ceased as the Pacific-Farallon spreading center en...
