Constraints on bimetric gravity. Part I. Analytical constraints

چکیده
Ghost-free bimetric gravity is an extension of general relativity, featuring a massive spin-2 field coupled to gravity. We parameterize the theory with set observables having specific physical interpretations. For background cosmology and static, spherically symmetric solutions (for example approximating gravitational potential solar system), there are four directions in parameter space which relativity approached. Requiring that working screening mechanism nonsingular evolution Universe, we place analytical constraints on rule out many models studied literature. Cosmological where accelerated expansion Universe explained by dynamical interaction rather than cosmological constant, still viable.

3D gravity data-space inversion with sparseness and bound constraints
One of the most remarkable basis of the gravity data inversion is the recognition of sharp boundaries between an ore body and its host rocks during the interpretation step. Therefore, in this work, it is attempted to develop an inversion approach to determine a 3D density distribution that produces a given gravity anomaly. The subsurface model consists of a 3D rectangular prisms of known sizes ...
متن کاملCMBR constraints on R gravity
Considering the inflation model based on a f(R) gravity theory, we obtain several important constraints from the large angular scale CMBR observations. First, the ordinary slow-roll assumption during the inflation together with Harrison-Zel’dovich spectral conditions chooses R gravity as a unique candidate. Second, the R gravity leads to specific near scale-invariant Harrison-Zel’dovich spectra...
متن کاملConstraints on Brane-Localized Gravity
In this paper we explore some general aspects of the embeddings associated with brane-localized gravity. In particular we show that the consistency of such embeddings can require (or impose) very specific relations between all the involved bulk and brane matter source parameters. Given the fact that the 5-geometry associated with the embedding of a 3-brane with non-zero spatial 3-curvature k in...
متن کاملNo consistent bimetric gravity?
Two-tensor, bimetric (or ‘‘f-g’’) gravity (BMG) was born as the fusion of the strong-interaction resonances of the 1960s (specifically that of a massive spin 2 field) with general relativity’s (GR) massless metric [1]. The idea was to join the two symmetrically by giving each its own Einstein-Hilbert action, then coupling the two resulting ‘‘spaces’’ through a nonderivative ‘‘mass term’’ that n...
متن کاملWeak gravity conjecture constraints on inflation
We consider the gravitational correction to the coupling of the scalar fields. Weak gravity conjecture says that the gravitational correction to the running of scalar coupling should be less than the contribution from scalar fields. For instance, a new scale Λ = λ 1/2 4 Mp sets a UV cutoff on the validity of the effective λ4φ 4 theory. Furthermore, this conjecture provides a stringent constrain...
