Constraining feeble neutrino interactions with ultralight dark matter
نویسندگان
چکیده
If ultralight $(\ll$ eV), bosonic dark matter couples to right handed neutrinos, active neutrino masses and mixing angles depend on the ambient density. When Majorana mass, induced by background, is small compared Dirac neutrinos are "pseudo-Dirac" fermions that undergo oscillations between nearly degenerate sterile states. We present a complete cosmological history for such scenario find severe limits from variety of terrestrial observables. For scalar in "fuzzy" regime ($\sim 10^{-20}$ these exclude couplings order $10^{-30}$, corresponding Yukawa interactions comparable gravitational force surpassing equivalent time variation scalar-induced electron proton couplings.

Neutrino Interactions with Nuclei and Dark Matter
Even though the combined laboratory, astrophysical and cosmological evidence implies that neutrinos have masses, neutrinos provide only a small cosmic dark matter component. The study of solar neutrinos provides important information on nuclear processes inside the Sun as well as on matter densities. Moreover, supernova neutrinos provide sensitive probes for studying supernova explosions, neutr...
متن کاملCosmological constraints on Neutrino - Dark Matter interactions
I summarize the results of a recent analysis where the cosmological effects of interactions of neutrinos with cold Dark Matter (DM) is investigated. This interaction produces diffusion-damped oscillations in the matter power spectrum, analogous to the acoustic oscillations in the baryon-photon fluid. I discuss the bounds from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey on the corresponding opacity defined as ...

متن کاملConstraining the strength of Dark Matter Interactions from Structure Formation
We discuss the damping of primordial dark matter fluctuations, taking into account explicitly the interactions of dark matter – whatever their intensity – both with itself and with other particle species. Relying on a general classification of dark matter particle candidates, our analysis provides, from structure formation, a new set of constraints on the dark matter particle mass and interacti...
متن کاملConstraining non standard neutrino interactions
Non-standard interactions (NSI) arise naturally when considering physics beyond the Standard Model. In particular, they can have an important influence in the solar neutrino analysis. The current status of NSI constraints will be discussed and the perspectives of future neutrino experiments will be briefly outlined.
