Consistent σ-models in N=1 supergravity
A consistent N = 1 supersymmetric σ-model can be constructed, given a Kähler manifold by adding chiral matter multiplets. Their scalar components are covariant tensors on the underlying Kähler manifold. The Kähler U(1)-charges can be adjusted such that the anomalies cancel, using the holomorphic functions in which the Kähler potential transforms. The arbitrariness of the U(1)-charges of matter ...
متن کاملRb in supergravity models
We compute the supersymmetric contribution to Rb ≡ Γ(Z → bb̄)/Γ(Z → hadrons) in a variety of supergravity models. We find R b <∼ 0.0004, which does not shift significantly the Standard Model prediction (R b = 0.2162 for mt = 160GeV). An improvement in experimental precision by a factor of four would be required to be sensitive to such an effect. CERN-TH.7553/95 CTP-TAMU-67/94 ACT-24/94 January 1...
متن کاملAxino Mass in Supergravity Models
We analyze the mass of the axino, the fermionic superpartner of the axion, in general supergravity models incorporating a Peccei–Quinn–symmetry and determine the cosmological constraints on this mass. In particular, we derive a simple criterion to identify models with an LSP–axino which has a mass of O(m3/2/fPQ) = O(keV) and can serve as a candidate for (warm) dark matter. We point out that suc...
متن کاملSupergravity in 10 + 2 Dimensions as Consistent Background for Superstring
We present a consistent theory of N = 1 supergravity in twelve-dimensions with the signature (10, 2). Even though the formulation uses two null vectors violating the manifest Lorentz covariance, all the super-space Bianchi identities are satisfied. After a simple dimensional reduction to ten-dimensions, this theory reproduces the N = 1 supergravity in ten-dimensions, supporting the consistency ...
