Considering Silences in Narrative Inquiry: An Intergenerational Story of a Sami Family

Through coming alongside a Sami family, we open spaces to contemplate multiple forms of silence. We argue that rather than the antithesis narrative, silence is an integral part narrative inquiry. As inquirers need be wakeful what told and also untold, often simultaneously. believe inquiry not necessarily about breaking silences, but it honoring as well practice By calling forward one author’s intergenerational experiences, explore different aspects such text, context for living telling, silences following silencing. how live with, within, our untold stories are shaped by and, in turn, shape silences.
