Operative Treatment of Acute Acromioclavicular Dislocation
For treatment of acute acromioclavicular dislocation we chose operative treatment in which we fixed clavicule to coracoid with a screw. With regard to the clinical results, out of 6 patients who had gone under operation, only one had calcification at coracoclavicular ligament without limitation of motion. There were no serious postoperative complication.
متن کاملLong-term results of conservative treatment for acromioclavicular dislocation.
We have reviewed 30 patients who had been treated conservatively for acromioclavicular dislocation between 1979 and 1982 at an average of 12.5 years after the injury. All except one had a good outcome as did five others contacted by telephone. In all patients reviewed the acromioclavicular joint remained subluxed or dislocated. With conservative treatment a good long-term outcome can be expecte...
متن کاملThe conservative treatment of acromioclavicular dislocation. Review after five years.
The treatment of acromioclavicular injuries is controversial; few studies document the late results. We have reviewed 53 patients about five years after conservative management, in nine for subluxation and 44 for dislocation. Subjective and objective results were satisfactory in all cases except for one with painful subluxation, who was the only patient to change her occupation because of the i...
متن کاملAcromioclavicular dislocation. Conservative or surgical therapy.
A literature review was performed to clarify available information which influences decisions whether to advise a young adult patient to undergo surgery for a severely displaced acromioclavicular dislocation. Twenty-four papers were retrieved yielding 1172 patients of whom the mean followup for the 833 surgically treated patients was 43.7 months and not surgically treated was 60.4 months. Of th...
متن کاملComparison of Acute Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation Treatment by Screw Fixation with and without Ligament Reconstruction
Background & Aims: Acute acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation is common in shoulder injuries. Considering the biomechanics of this joint, the use of a treatment method, which can restore joint physiology and biomechanics to the extent possible, is important. This study aimed to compare the treatment of acute AC joint dislocation by screw fixation with and without ligament reconstruction. Me...
