چکیده
ABSTRACT Astragalus bozakmanii Podlech, an endemic plant species to Turkey, was investigated provide understanding the conservation status of this and fill gap in knowledge habitat species. Field studies were carried out randomly by sampling 2 × m sizes, 10 quadrats from each region. The number individuals estimated calculating average individual numbers small extrapolating result for approximate population area. Reproductive success evaluated using mean seeds per fruit ovules flower. A. prefers saltless soils whose pH values range 7.48 8.33. seed set 45.8% ovules. In study, we observed that flowers visited Oxythyrea cinctella feed on their reproductive parts, thus rendering them infertile. Considering all these findings, global national assessed as Endangered (EN) B1ab (i, ii, iii) + 2ab according new IUCN Red List criteria. conclusion, appropriate actions need be developed so natural enemies agricultural pests can re-enter habitats.

Population genetics of Astragalus bibullatus (Fabaceae) using AFLPs.
Astragalus bibullatus (Fabaceae) is an endangered plant species endemic to limestone cedar glades in Tennessee. Data from 134 amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) fragments indicate that populations of this species are genetically very similar, with genetic identity values ranging from 0.976 to 0.991. Approximately 10% of the species' total genetic variation is due to differences among...
متن کاملKaryotype Analyses of Four Astragalus L. (fabaceae) Species from Turkey
Astragalus L. is a perennial herbaceous genus belonging to the family Fabaceae. Chromosome morphology was defined for the first time in four species of Astragalus namely; A. antalyensis A.Duran & Podlech, A. nezaketae A.Duran & Aytaç, A. cariensis Boiss. & A. schizopterus Boiss. All species contained diploid chromosome numbers of 2n = 16. However, polyploid cells (4x = 32) were also observed in...

Astragalus oniciformis Barneby is a narrow endemic xerophyte of the upper Snake River Plain of central Idaho, USA, where it inhabits stabilized, aeolian sand deposits and previously burned, sandy sites over Quaternary basalt flows. The objective of this study was to determine the levels and distribution of genetic differentiation within and among populations of A. oniciformis. Fifteen individua...

PREMISE OF THE STUDY Are there dimensions of symbiotic root interactions that are overlooked because plant mineral nutrition is the foundation and, perhaps too often, the sole explanation through which we view these relationships? In this paper we investigate how the root nodule symbiosis in selenium (Se) hyperaccumulator and nonaccumulator Astragalus species influences plant selenium (Se) accu...
