Conservation Agriculture Mitigates the Effects of Climate Change

چکیده
Intensive tillage based conventional agriculture have high global warming potential. Alternative to this, conservation (CA) systems utilize soils for the production of crops by reducing excessive tillage, maintaining crop residue on soil surface, and adoption rotations. The paper attempts review findings CA experiments under different cropping within outside country. It has been found that increases sustains productivities, mitigates green house gas emissions from enhancing carbon sequestration, improving nutrient status water use efficiencies, fuel consumption. Mainstreaming in Nepal is hindered its knowledge gap, inadequate farm machineries tools, small holdings, poor infrastructures, lack friendly policy support. Therefore, there an urgent need test, verify scale-out technologies Agricultural Research Council (NARC) across agro-ecologies through farmer-centered partnership among international institutions, public private sector Nepal.

Effects of Climate Change on Norwegian Agriculture
This is a brief report on a model study of how production systems in two regions of Norway are affected by expected climate change, and how these soil-plant ecosystems functions as reactors in the climate system. A cluster of models simulating heat and water transport, plant growth, soil Cand N-transformations and transport have been run based on historical weather and weather generated by dyna...
متن کاملEffects of Climate Change on Agriculture
Climate is constantly changing, and the signals indicating that changes are occurring can be evaluated over a range of temporal and spatial scales. Climate can be viewed as an integration of complex weather conditions averaged over a significant area of the Earth (typically on the order of 100 km2 or more), expressed in terms of both the mean of weather represented by properties such as tempera...

concentration of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) by some 30 percent since the industrial revolution, and that rise continues at a rate of approximately 0.4 percent per year. Despite its seemingly minute concentration (only 0.035 percent), CO 2 inhibits the escape of longwave (thermal) radiation emitted by the earth throughout the entire atmosphere, a process known as the “greenhouse effect.” The presenc...
متن کاملThe Effects of Global Climate Change on Agriculture
Climate is the primary important factor for agricultural production. Concerning the potential effects of climatic change on agriculture has motivated important change of research during the last decade. The research topics concentrate possible physical effects of climatic change on agriculture, such as changes in crop and livestock yields as well as the economic consequences of these potential ...
متن کاملThe Economics of Climate Change in Agriculture
This paper presents a conceptual framework of the impact of climate change on agriculture. It assumes that climate change will result in a fertilization effect and a shift of agro-ecological conditions away from the Equator towards the Poles. The agro-ecological shift is likely to reduce yield because of reduced acreage and the fertilization effect will increase yield. The aggregate effect depe...
