Connecting religious transnationalism and development: charitable giving amongst Zimbabwean Catholics in London

This article argues that religious transnationalism amongst diaspora members shapes engagements with their homelands through charitable giving. Religious networks connect migrants to homeland constant interactions the mother church and its members. Using case of a Zimbabwean Catholic Christian community in London, takes forward debates about transnationalism, charity development, arguing infuse underpin transnational sense diasporic belonging migrants. They not only situ support within hostlands but also plethora homelands, involving significant flows material resources into development projects humanitarian relief. demonstrates important role formations play aid challenging assumptions development’s secularism. While literature illustrates importance religion it has yet fully engage what ordinary people seek do when confronted global disparities modern world.
